On Sunday, October 16th, the United Methodist Church celebrates the ministry of the laity with Laity Sunday. The annual Laity Awards Luncheon sponsored by Black Methodist for Church Renewal (BMCR) will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 11 am at the Holiday Inn in Matteson, IL. This year, Kelly Woodlawn’s honorees will be Mr. Leslie Ashford, Sr. and Mr. Keith Williams. Luncheon tickets are $60.
