  1. Kelly United Methodist is the first church I attended. My parents were founding members of Kelly. I have fond memories of attended church there. My parents have passed on but Kelly Church is in my heart. I’m pretty sure most, if not all, the members then have left or gone on to heaven, as well.

  2. Hi I was inquiring when does your church give out clothes. Also I would like to be added to your email list

    1. Good evening, Cynthia,

Kelly Kloset is the name we gave to our clothing giveaway. Several times per year we open our church to people in need of “gently used” clothing. It is next scheduled for Saturday, November 5th from 10:00am until 2:00pm in Fellowship Hall at the church. We are currently accepting clothing donations for the event. We do ask that the donated clothing be clean and dry. Regarding our “email list,” if we ever get one, you’ll be the first subscriber! Thank you so much for your interest, though! We do keep a very active Facebook page (you don’t need to belong to Facebook to read it, either, use this link), most days there’s a new post, one of our members, Eulana, puts up very inspiring devotional type posts. If you do belong to Facebook, please like the page and you’ll begin receiving notifications when there is a new post.

About the closest we could come to a actual newsletter would be the “News” menu item on our website which collects the “announcements” we hear in church on Sunday. There is also a calendar of events here which summarizes all the upcoming events at Kelly Woodlawn and related places. I hope sometime you can join us for worship or for Church School on Tuesday or for Bible Study on Wednesday, but I praise God for you and hope that you are blessed through whatever we can provide for you.

      Please keep in touch,
      Keith Laten Williams

  3. My name is Melinda West Hudson. I was baptized there in 1983 or 84. I lived on Eberhart next door to my God parents and 2 of your charter members, Mr. & Mrs. Alvin and Lucille Bell. Mrs. Dorothy Carrier was also God parent. I have many fond memories at Kelly from being in the junior chior to being an acolyte. So excited to see what the future holds at KUMC.
