Should the United Methodist Church change its logo?

After our Worship services we have a time of fellowship where we care for one another and discuss “issues of the day.” Ms. Lois T. referred to an article she read, entitled: “Time for the Cross and Flame to Go.” The issue revolved around whether or not the “Cross and Flame” logo was too reminiscent of the Ku Klux Klan’s burning cross imagery. The discussion we had was lively and interesting, so much so that Rev. Sanders decide to have a “Chat Room Conversation” (her name for the online discussions we have held on topics of the day) about it. That “Chat Room” will be held this Thursday, July 23rd beginning at 1pm. Join us, let’s talk about it!
