4-Hour Healing Workshop

Understand, discuss and learn to cope with racial trauma

On Saturday, October 8, 2022 between 9am and 1pm, St. Mark United Methodist Church, 8441 S. St. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL is hosting a four-hour workshop for people of African descent, focused on

  • Defining racial trauma
  • Discussing the significant impact of racial trauma has historically had and continues to have with Black people in the UMC
  • Discussing coping strategies that have been used by the Black community for healing our trauma.
